What is the Abortion Pill?

The abortion pill is actually made up of two drugs taken at two different times. It’s sometimes called medication abortion and is prescribed by a doctor after determining how far along you are in your pregnancy. The first drug is taken at the doctor’s office and causes the death of a fetus by blocking your body’s production of progesterone. The second drug is taken at least 24 hours later at home and causes cramping so your body can expel the fetus.
